According to a newspaper article, todays carbon dioxide level has increased to 400ppm from burning of coal, oil & gas. But last time it was this high was 15million years ago, with temperatures up to 6degC warmer and sea-levels 45m higher? If so, are we locked in to this type of future climate? Why isn't the climate warming today like what it was in the past? Thanks. Here's the newspaper article (https://www.theguardian.com/environment/planet-oz/2016/may/20/carbon-dioxides-400ppm-milestone-shows-humans-are-re-writing-the-planets-history)
